Project Summary
When it was discovered that the foundations of several wind turbines on a West Texas wind farm were installed improperly, the client turned to Saulsbury. Saulsbury’s team of experts in the construction of environmental and renewable projects disconnected all electrical components, removed the transformers, performed demolition of existing concrete and housekeeping pads around the turbines, and excavated around the foundations. Rock anchors were installed to the bedrock with 43-feet piles. CMP was removed to allow the foundation to be dowelled and encapsulated with new supporting foundations once the turbines were pulled to a plumb and level condition.
