Project Summary
Saulsbury was awarded the contract to construct three cryogenic processing plants at our client’s Diamond Processing Facility in Balmorhea, Texas, each designed with a capacity of 200 MMSCFD. These facilities feature industry-leading cryo plant technology that allows for higher recovery of valuable ethane, propane, and heavier components which maximizes natural gas liquids production.

Scope of the Project
- Inlet, outlet, and BOP utilities sized for 1.2 BCFD
- Two — 7,500-BBL slug catchers (48″ pipe, 6 fingers each, 750′ long)
- Three Opero 200-MMSCFD SRX cryo plants
- Three — 1,000-GPM amine treaters
- Three — 5,000-HP residue compressors
- Six CAT 3616 residue compressors
- Two — 7,500-bbl/day condensate stabilizers
- 12 electrical PDC buildings
—
Goals and Achievements
- Over 700 peak manpower
- All three trains were completed on time and on budget
- Once the project was completed, Saulsbury documented over 1 million safe work hours without a recordable or time-lost incident.
