Project Summary
In 2015, Saulsbury’s electrical services team was contracted to install all electrical and instrumentation systems for an all-new propane dehydrogenation plant in Mont Belvieu on the Texas Gulf Coast. The team was responsible for procuring, installing, and testing the entire E&I scope of the PDH facility.

Installation included:
- 51,000 feet of cable tray
- 325,000 feet of conduit
- 2,400 fixtures
- 4,458 inst
- 2,189,000 feet of wire and cable
- 3,950 loops

Goals & Achievements
The unit is credited as one of the world’s largest PDH plants with the capacity to consume up to 35,000 barrels-per-day of propane to produce 1.65 billion pounds-per-year of polymer-grade propylene.
The project was completed with zero recordable incidents or injuries.
